ABOUT OUR LEADERS

At Wildfire Youth, our leadership team are committed to providing fun and safe youth programs for the community.

We’re motivated to give up our time to run Wildfire youth group because, as followers of Jesus, we believe in being part of our community in positive ways.

We believe in sharing God’s love with people of all ages in our local community.

As part of our commitment to Safe Church requirements upheld by St John’s Anglican Church Sutherland and the Anglican diocese of Sydney, our volunteer leaders are required to have a valid working with children check and undergo the Safe Ministry training course approved by government requirements of youth volunteers and workers.

ON FRIDAYS

On Friday nights, our youth program is designed for youth to have fun and encourage friendship in safe ways while also incorporating a short Christian message.

We welcome young people from all backgrounds, whether Christian or not to attend.

We also expect kids to form their own opinions and strive not to push our views onto young people. You can read more about what we believe in the next section.

Our nights from 7pm – 9pm are structured to include roughly 20 minutes of unstructured games at the beginning, 40 minutes of structured games, a 10-15 minute Christian talk, 20 minutes for discussion in friendship year groups, and 20 minutes of chill-out supper time at the end.

If you’re in high school and have nothing to do on Friday night, you’re welcome to come along and check it out!

WHAT WE BELIEVE
