Children at St John’s

Our Mission:

We’re passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where children can learn about Jesus, grow in their faith, and have lots of fun along the way. Our programs are designed to engage kids in age-appropriate and meaningful ways—helping them discover God’s love and truth in a way they can understand and enjoy.

All our leaders are carefully selected, Safe Ministry trained, and regularly equipped with additional training to help them become even better communicators and role models as they teach God’s Word.

Babies & Toddlers

Family Room – All Sunday Services

(8am, 10am & 6pm)

Main Building

Our Family Room is located at the back of the church and is available during all Sunday services for parents with babies or young children who aren’t attending a kids’ program. It’s a comfortable space with couches, toys, change table, and a live audio feed of the service, so parents can stay connected while caring for their little ones.

Preschool & Infants aged Children

Sparklers – During 10am Sunday Service

Kindergarten – Year 2 | Church Hall

Sparklers is our exciting program for kids in Kindergarten to Year 2, where faith and fun go hand in hand. With enthusiastic leaders, children enjoy singing, games, and Bible stories, all designed to help them know and love Jesus in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate.

Primary aged Children

Bonfire – During 10am Sunday Service

Years 2-5 | Church Hall

Bonfire is our dynamic program for children in Years 2 to 5, designed to help them connect with Jesus, grow in their knowledge and love for Him, and begin to see how they can live for Him every day. Through games, Bible teaching, singing, and plenty of fun, Bonfire helps kids build lasting faith and friendships in a supportive and energetic environment.

SRE – Run through local public schools

We’re thankful for the opportunity to share the message of Jesus in our local community through Special Religious Education (SRE). Each week, our team of accredited and trained SRE teachers teach Scripture classes in five local public schools, helping children explore the Bible and learn about God’s love in a respectful and age-appropriate way.

St John’s is also responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Protestant SRE program in our area, working in partnership with schools, families, and other local churches to ensure the program is run well and with care.
